Choosing a piece of wood because the shape appeals to you is one thing. But experiencing what comes out of it when there was no concrete idea to begin with is something completely different!

This process often fascinates me when I am working 'freestyle'. And to be able to find such a figurative form in this piece of wood was really unexpected.

And as time passed, these two beings grew more and more into a clear form. The young one on its way to discover the world around it - free to do so, but always able to return to the safe haven of connection and security.
