...inside the sculpture

Inside of the snail shell sits a swivel construction, where transformed and morphed images – done via computer software – of the movie "Letztes Jahr in Marienbad" can be turned by a crank.
 

...the idea behind it

The sculpture was created as part of my architectural studies at UdK Berlin – in the field of landscape architecture. We spent a semester looking at the topic of "the interaction of designed landscape, film and people". What will happen, when two persons are playing chess while designed nature and architecture are falling into each other!? ;-)
